Steve Bayless Vert Session
Riverside Park, St. Neots
St. Neots in Cambridgeshire is home to the best outdoor public vert ramp in the UK. It’s a good competition size (14ft) metal ramp which has had a new skatelite surface since March 2016. This is a new addition to the series and one of only two outdoor competitions on the 2016 series (with Southsea being the other).
With the train station only minutes away and a short drive from the A14, it’s easy to get to so fingers crossed for some quality skating weather!
“The Steve Bayless Vert Session”
The competition has taken it’s name from a local hero of the park who suddenly and tragically died in 2016. Steve was a kingpin of the skate scene at St Neots and played a pivotal role in working to get the skatepark back in shape. For this reason and many more, with his family’s kind permission we have decided to name our competition after him.
Organised by locals Sam Curtin and Joe Gacon, and sponsored by brands from Lincolnshire based skate distributor G House, this is a real East Midlands gig. See you there for a summer session…

We’ve now confirmed that the “Steve Bayless Vert Session” at St Neots will be going ahead on Sunday 30th July. This will be run by Joseph Gacon and Sam Curtin with the usual crew around to get in the way and trip over cables.
2017 confirmed dates
Here are the dates we have so far for 2017 vert competitions across the UK. These dates are confirmed by each organiser and park but they are always subject to change as the vert calendar fills up with other events such as festivals and other comps, so please keep checking here and our social pages for any changes.
If we stay at 6 comps, scores will be the total of the best 5, if we have 7 (Steve Bayless Vert Session at St Neots is still TBC) then it will be best 6.
